Biography
I’m a dual-qualified lawyer, admitted as an attorney in South Africa (1998) and as a Solicitor of England & Wales (2001).
I’m a commercially minded legal professional with deep expertise in the media and entertainment sector, particularly in sports broadcasting, digital rights and content distribution across diverse platforms, content licensing, intellectual property, and related litigation. I’m currently listed in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist (South Africa) for Sport and Media.
Over the course of my career, I’ve held senior legal positions, including Head of Legal and General Counsel at several leading broadcasters across Africa. I have extensive experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements, including high-value procurement and supply chain contracts, global framework agreements, SaaS and consultancy agreements, SLAs, and bespoke commercial arrangements. My legal practice also spans data protection, information governance, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance.
At Morae, where I currently serve as a Senior Director, I deliver legal managed services to law firms, general counsel, and corporate legal departments. I also lead and manage a high-performing commercial legal team, supporting clients across a range of industries.
